Lately I have been on a quest to find a foundation that would match or rival my MAC Studio Fix Fluid and be affordable. Right now with a newborn son I can’t spare the money. I always have to think twice because babies are unpredictable. You never know when you will need funds for an emergency or supplies. I wanted the same great coverage and wear ability as studio fix but without the heavy feeling or price tag. I went to CVS and they were having a buy one get one half off sale on Revlon products. I reached for the Revlon Colorstay without a second thought. It is the only foundation I have used that has given me what I need out of a foundation. I am a 400 caramel in combination oily. That caramel is darker than the one for dry skin and I think the formula is better. I love Colorstay. I won’t reach for anything else.
I recently ordered products from www.eyeslipsface.com and I must say I am in love. Once again what I needed at a better price. I agree with the comparison of their studio blushes, eye shadows, and bronzers to NARS, but there is a difference in the quality. The ELF products are more powdery where the NARS has more pigment. With the right touch they do the job. I also got a hyper shine gloss from their dollar line. Those are now also my favorite. I can’t imagine why I paid so much when I could have gotten the same effect with a cheaper product. I have never been able to say this before but I am satisfied with my makeup. It all does what I need it to do and stays where I put it. So in true Danyell Essence style here is my list of August Favorites.
